I did not have any travel plans this weekend, so I stayed in Kaohsiung. However, since I live on the outskirts of Kaohsiung, it takes me 30 minutes to travel by train into the city. I went to the city to have dinner and to read at a cafe.
Apart from the roughly 14 hour flight from California to Taiwan, during my winter break, I left Taiwan and traveled to four different countries in Southeast Asia. The longest plane ride was from Singapore to Taiwan, which took around four hours.
I scootered to and from school every day. To get to the city, I take the train and metro. Transportation is very convenient in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
Every Saturday, there is a local night market only a 15 minutes walk from where I live. My friends and I went to the night market for dinner this past Saturday. There are many stands and vendors who sell many delicious dishes, such as dumplings, green onion pancakes, mochi, tofu pudding, to name a few items! I ended up getting a bag of guava.
