How far did I travel this week?:

My friends and I took a short trip to Colonia de Sacramento. This small town has buildings that are centuries old! It took almost three hours to get there by car, but it was worth the long drive. The town is very calm. You almost feel like you're traveling back in time.

How far have I traveled on this journey so far?:

The farthest place I have been to was Neuquén in the Argentinian Patagonia. My classmates and I went on this trip to learn from Mapuche Indigenous communities. Talking to Mapuche leaders and learning about their history and worldview was such a privilege. And the view of the mountains was absolutely stunning.

How did I get around this week?:

I walk everywhere because I feel a better connection to my environment that way. Sometimes, I stop midway to look at a building and draw it. When places are too far, I choose to take the bus instead. I have a transportation card that makes paying quite easy.

What was the most interesting place I visited this week?:

On Wednesday, I visited the Vilamajó Museum. This museum used to be the house of Julio Vilamajó, one of Uruguay's most famous architects. The building was inspired by countries like Spain and Morocco. Vilamajó not only designed his house, but also the furniture inside, even the couches.
