The furthest I traveled this week was to Pfaueninsel (Peacock Island), which is 30 km or about 18 miles from Kreuzberg.
The furthest I've traveled in my entire time in Germany was to Hamburg. Hamburg is 290 km or 180 miles from Berlin. The train ride to Hamburg was about 2.5 hours in total.
I traveled mostly by train this week. The train systems here are called U-Bahn and S-Bahn, and they are the most convenient way for me to travel the city.
The most interesting place I visited this week was Pfaueninsel (Peacock Island). I went on a really nice, sunny day, and I got to really appreciate Berlin's fall. I got to see lots of beautiful animals and spent the entire day in nature. Pfaueninsel (Peacock Island) used to belong to the royal family of Prussia; it was used and designed as a summer palace. Today, the island is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
