This week was special because I started the week in Panama (a different country right below Costa Rica). It took us 6 hours to get there. After leaving Panama, by Wednesday I was exploring the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica in Puerto Viejo! Puerto Viejo was around 2 hours from Panama. By Saturday, I was back home in Heredia, which is around 4 hours from Puerto Viejo. I did lots of traveling this week.
This week will probably be the farthest I will get to travel during my study abroad adventure since I got to go out of the country!
While in Panama, my group stayed on an island. Therefore, every morning, we would take boats to the different islands. After Panama and while in Puerto Viejo, we often took the local bus, Ubers, or just walked from place to place.
The Jaguar Rescue Center in Puerto Viejo was the most interesting place I visited this week. I got to see many animals that the center was taking care of and learn a lot about wildlife conservation work.
