Travel News

The old town is actually built inside the remains of Diocletian’s Palace, constructed around 305 CE for the Roman emperor Diocletian. Walking through it feels like stepping back in time. Ancient walls surround bustling shops, cafes and even apartments where people still live. My hotel was right in the heart of it, so every morning felt like living in history.

I also visited the Cathedral of Saint Domnius, one of the world’s oldest Catholic cathedrals still in use. Originally built as the emperor’s tomb, it was later converted into a church. After exploring the area, when my feet started to hurt from all the walking, I sat down on a bench by the port and just enjoyed the sound of the ocean while watching the boats drift by.

Other Travel News from this week:

My group just planned a trip to Lyon, France, in a couple of weeks, and I’m really excited to go back. I’ve been there once before, so it will be fun to see it again and experience it in a different way. I’m especially excited to explore more of the city and spend time there with my friends.
