This week, the farthest I've been was to the palace. From my home, it was 4.6km. Km means kilometers, and in South Korea, they use this instead of miles. If it were miles, it would be almost 3 miles away. The drive was 30 minutes long. There was so much traffic.
So far, my longest journey was my trip to the palace.
There are many different ways to get around the city. The first way is the subway system. Everyone takes the subway and bus here. Fun fact for you: South Korea has one of the best public transportation systems in the world! It is easy, cheap, fast and clean. For me, I am not used to the subways, so it was a lot of fun trying to navigate them. Sometimes if it is too far away I get scared and I take a simple taxi instead.
The most interesting place I traveled to was Changdeokgung Palace (Chang duck goong Palace). It was like a museum walking tour, and you get to see where all the royals lived in ancient Korea. My favorite part was the Secret Garden. It was called the Secret Garden because only the king and a very few people could enter it.
