I traveled all the way from Copenhagen to Vienna with my program. Each class visits a destination connected to their field of study, and Vienna is especially significant in the history of psychology and psychoanalysis as the birthplace of Sigmund Freud and many other prominent psychologists such as Alfred Adler and Viktor Frankl.
After Vienna, a friend and I traveled to Budapest for the weekend. That’s the farthest I’ve been from Copenhagen so far, and I’m planning to travel to Italy for spring break.
I mostly got around on foot, which I think is the best way to see and get to know the city. Besides that, I used public transportation, namely the train.
The ruin bars in Budapest were really cool. They used to be abandoned buildings, but now they’re full of color and character. These bars are a big part of the city’s fun nightlife, with interesting lights, graffiti, art, and lots of creative decorations that make each one unique.
