But in the Sami culture, they use sleds for everything outdoor related! They bring their lunches on sleds when they venture out into the snow for a long afternoon walk. They also used sleds that they made from reindeer hide and wood, to slide down big mounds of snow during the daylight time! And, I got to sled with the students as they pushed me down a huge hill they made in the back of the school!
