I've traveled several thousand miles... what did I say last entry? Add 37 miles to that, and you're in the ball park!
I wimped out and took a taxi to get to work at the beginning of the week because I was running late and it was so cold! Other than that, I traveled primarily by foot, with the exception of the van I took to Mitrovica. It was my first time traveling to Mitrovica, and I had a difficult time figuring out how to get there. I figured I'd just go to the bus station and catch one of the coach passenger buses. However, it ended up being far more complicated than that. It turns out the easiest way to get to Mitrovica is via an informal system in which you locate a group of vans in a parking lot, ask where they're headed to and pile in. Once the van is full, you pay the driver 1.5 euros (about the same in dollars), and you're on your way!
