Traveling from my campus to downtown is about a 15 mile commute round trip, but other than that, I stayed close to my dorm most of the week.
Since I have been in school, I haven’t had the opportunity to travel outside of Shanghai, so I have just been traveling within the city.
Whenever I am on campus, I get around on my bike, but whenever I leave campus, I mainly use the extensive subway system.
The most interesting place I travelled to this week was the Jing’an Temple. Jing’an Temple is one of the oldest Buddhist Temples in Shanghai; it dates back to 247 AD, and it was moved to Shanghai in the year 1216. It is an absolutely beautiful temple.
