On that Friday, I traveled from Amsterdam to Dublin, and that was 755 kilometers (469 miles). I also traveled from Dublin to Galway in Ireland, and that was 185 kilometers (115 miles).
Combined, from Amsterdam to Dublin and Dublin to Galway, I traveled a total of 940 kilometers (584 miles). Since I did a round trip, my whole journey was 1,880 kilometers (1,168 miles)!
I flew to Dublin from Amsterdam, and I took a bus from Dublin to Galway, passing through the Irish countryside of rolling hills and fields. I traveled by bus a lot in Ireland.
Galway was really interesting because, although being a small city on the west coast of Ireland, there is a bunch to do and see. There are streets to shop on, museums to go to, cathedrals to see, rivers to walk along and plenty of day trips to take. On the main shopping streets of Shop Street and Quay Street (Quay is pronounced "key"), there are many musical street performers as well. People were playing traditional Irish music and dancing Irish step, too!
