The Yangtze River is the longest river in Asia and the third longest in the world. It is home to many unique animals. Unfortunately, many of these animals are at high risk of extinction because of pollution and plastic waste. Several parts of the Yangtze River are now protected in an effort to save these species and increase habitat quality in the area.
