The most interesting place that I visited this week was Claddagh in Galway, which is a very historical area that is known most famously for its creation of the Claddagh ring. The ring has two hands on each side, holding a heart in the center and a crown on top. The hands symbolize friendship, the heart symbolizes love and the crown represents loyalty. They say that there are different ways to wear it. To have the heart facing in close to you means you are married and if the heart faces out, you're not married.
The other news about travel this week was another lovely village I saw called Tuam in Mayo which had many lovely shops and pretty houses. One of the shops even had a variation of my name on the awning!
