There were a lot of mountains on one side, and the other side was the beach. The best thing I saw was the ocean. In the U.S., I live in an area that isn't close to the ocean, so I thought it was amazing! The water was so blue and clear. I also got to see a very pretty sunset on the bus ride home!
This week, on Tuesday, we had an earthquake! It was a very small earthquake, so nothing bad happened and nobody got hurt. It was my first time in an earthquake! I was leaving my apartment to go to school in the morning, and I felt the ground shake just a little bit, and I heard my bedroom door shake. It only lasted about one minute, but it was a little scary! I'm glad that it was just a small one. Have you been in an earthquake before? Earthquakes are common in Taiwan, and they can cause a lot of damage, but this one wasn't serious.
