The owners of our hotel honored us with a personally cooked dinner for our group on Saturday night. We had a wonderful night of eating and talking with this family in Kathmandu! This was my favorite night here this week!
I read a novel called "Buddha's Orphans" by Samrat Upadhyay. It is a story about the lives of a boy and a girl growing up in Kathmandu and how politics impacts their lives.
My classmates and I played cards every night after dinner. Usually we played cribbage. We did not get a chance to play any sports, but we did do a lot of hiking. There are always hills to climb here, even if you just want to go to a coffee shop!
Teens in Kathmandu are striking for Climate Change Action and are getting more and more attention from the media, even though it is hard for them to get attention from TV and News organizations.
