The owners of our hotel honored us with a personally cooked dinner for our group on Saturday night. We had a wonderful night of eating and talking with this family in Kathmandu! This was my favorite night here this week!
I read a novel called "Buddha's Orphans" by Samrat Upadhyay. It is a story about the lives of a boy and a girl growing up in Kathmandu and how politics impacts their lives.
My classmates and I played cards every night after dinner. Usually we played cribbage. We did not get a chance to play any sports, but we did do a lot of hiking. There are always hills to climb here, even if you just want to go to a coffee shop!
