Hello!
This article gives you a little bit of background about me and who I am as a person.
Every decision I make today is based on the different experiences and people that I’ve come across in my life. The most influential individuals that I have in my life are my parents. They came to the United States in 1983 after leaving Ethiopia, to escape political hardship and find a better life. Ever since then, my parents have been working very hard in order to give me and my siblings a great life. Every choice I make is made to make my parents are proud.
I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. I have one younger brother and an older brother and sister, so I am the middle child. I am a third-year mechanical engineering student at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, which is about a five hour drive from Dallas. I absolutely love mechanical engineering and learning about different types of technology. I really enjoy figuring out how things work and taking things apart and putting them back together. This past summer I was able to have a wonderful experience as a manufacturing intern at Texas Instruments, Inc. in Dallas, Texas.
Currently, I am in Shanghai, China for my study abroad program. I attend the University of Michigan-Shanghai Jiao Tong University Joint Institute.
