Ciao! Benvenuto (Welcome) to my journey! My name is Kimberly, and I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Los Angeles is a huge, modern city filled with cars, freeways, tall buildings, and so many people. There’s always something happening, and I grew up surrounded by the energy of the city. After high school, I moved a few hours south to attend the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). Now I am in my fourth year of college, which means I will be graduating soon.
At UCSD, I am majoring in International Business and minoring in Art History. International Business is about how countries, companies, and people connect with each other across the world through trade, communication, and ideas. Art History, my minor, is about learning how people in different times and places have expressed themselves through art, buildings, and creativity. I like having both areas of study because together they give me different ways to see the world: one through modern global connections, and one through history and culture.
One of the most exciting parts of my major is that it encourages us to study abroad. Studying abroad means living and learning in another country.
