There have been many proposals to open a kitchen three days a week, with a debate on what days to open. The last I heard on the subject was that they were going to open two kitchens, one on either side of West End, in the evenings from Wednesday to Friday. In this way, I think that the neighborhood is trying to meet the needs of the homeless without any help from Brisbane City Council, and I'm not sure if they manage a bigger project on their own.
