Hi! It's Alexia, the traveler with whom you will be journeying. Right now I am living in London, England, more specifically in the Kensington area. The Queen of England lives just up the street. I am living in a dorm room on the Richmond University Campus. My major is Global Studies, and I am also double minoring in social work and Political Science. I love learning about different cultures, systems and the people of the world. One day I hope to have a career helping people. I don't quite know yet exactly what that means, but I have a few ideas. Maybe I will be a social worker, a politician or even an employee for a non-profit organization helping the vulnerable people of the world.
I come from a small town in Michigan. I've lived there almost my whole life, and I even still go to school there when I am not studying abroad. I live at home with my parents, and I have ten siblings. I grew up with only my mom. This was a challenge, because my family didn't always have a lot of money, and I always had to help my mom around the house. But I didn't mind, because there was always something to do. I was never bored, and I loved to read and learn. I was a book-worm, so through books I learned about studying abroad.
I grew up knowing that I wanted to go to college.
