Lucia, some guests got to visit a local market with Wind Surf's Chef to shop for local fruits, vegetables, fresh fish and spices. Back on board, the culinary team turned those fresh ingredients into wonderful dishes like Caribbean conch and coriander escovitch. Fresh, local ingredients and flavors make the best meals!
I had a chance to hear some beautiful steel drum music when we were ashore on Pigeon Island in St. Lucia. Check out my St. Lucia Album for a short video!
I really enjoyed being outside on a beautiful day and listening to the distinctly-Caribbean sound of steel drums.
My job requires me to know a lot about the places Wind Surf will be visiting during this expedition. When I'm not interacting with guests and introducing them to upcoming islands and excursion opportunities, I spend a lot of time reading about tours. The more I know about the places we visit, the more I can help Wind Surf's guests enjoy the experience.
I didn't do any sports this week, but a lot of our travelers did! Wind Surf has a watersports platform that folds down out of the stern (back) of the ship, so when we're at anchor, guests can paddleboard, use the water trampoline, wakeboard, waterski, kayak, snorkel and swim in the clear Caribbean Sea.
