Meet Federica Corradini: An Italian Veterinary Medicine Student!

What types of clothing do you like to wear?:

Whether hiking mountains or hitting the gym, I choose comfortable athletic wear that suits my active lifestyle. The weather in my village is colder than that of Murcia, so I wear lots of warm clothing there.

What do you like to do in your free time?:

I immerse myself in Spanish culture by socializing at "language tandem" events while enjoying tapas and sangria with my friends on the weekends. Tapas are appetizers or snacks in Spanish cuisine, and sangria is a punch traditionally consisting of red wine and other spirits. Language tandems are local events hosted by bars for local students to meet exchange students!

What language(s) do you speak? How do you say "Hello" in your language?:

I am fluent in Italian and English, and I only began to learn Spanish last September when I arrived for my year abroad in Murcia. Now, I have a high intermediate level of Spanish. Knowing Italian has made it easier for me to learn Spanish, and I would say that being immersed in the language and culture helped me learn it very quickly. In Italian, Ciao is how we say Hello!

Do you have pets?:

Kinga is my beloved Golden Retriever who will turn ten years old this June!

Have you traveled? Where have you traveled to?:

I have traveled to many countries like France, Belgium, Poland, Denmark, the Czech Republic, Portugal, Norway, Ireland and Germany. My family is renting a camper and driving across several European countries this summer.
