Hi! My name is Abby and I'm currently a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Taitung, Taiwan. I'm so excited to share my experiences in Taiwan with all of you!
This week I was lucky enough to see another gorgeous place in Taiwan. The Li Song Hot Spring is nestled in the mountains and requires a challenging hike, but the view is worth it!
When I leave a place here, I always say, "Xie xie, wan an!" which means "Thank you, goodnight!". For my last journal, I wanted to reflect on everything I have gotten the chance to do here so far.
Since I teach at two schools here in Taiwan, I was able to get several different kids' perspectives on what it's like to live here. They're just as curious to learn about the U.S.!
While I was visiting Taipei, I took a day trip to a small town in the mountains outside the city called Jiufen. It's famous for inspiring the location for the Japanese animated movie "Spirited Away".
