What jobs do your parents have?:

Parents have a wide range of jobs like working as librarians at the public library, doctors at the Gabrovo hospital or clerks for lawyers!

What time does school start, and what time do you go home?:

School starts at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 2:35 p.m., but many kids do not head straight home afterward. Instead, they take extra classes to improve skills like languages or math, or they join afterschool activities like sports or music!

How do you get to school? Are you allowed to go to school by yourself?:

By eighth grade, students usually head to school on their own. Many walk about 15 minutes, but some take the bus if they live farther away.

Where do you eat lunch? What is your favorite food?:

Lunch is usually enjoyed outside in the school courtyard, and one of the favorites is a sandwich shop across the street called Mario Fresh. They serve hot, grilled sandwiches packed with veggies and meat!

What language do you speak at school? How do you say "Hello" in your language?:

At school, they typically learn and speak in Bulgarian, but since they attend a language school, they learn and speak other languages such as German, Russian and English. To say "hello" in Bulgarian, it is zdraveĭ (здравей in cyrillic letters).

What are some common kids' names at your school?:

Some common names at their school include Tsveta for girls, which means flower, and Georgi (or George) for boys, which translates to farmer.
