The weather this week was great overall! It's finally changing from summer to fall here in Western Japan and the leaves are beautiful. This past weekend I traveled to Naoshima Island. It was a little colder than Kurashiki but still about 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
As the season changed, the birds have migrated so I no longer see cranes and different birds on my way to work. However, I did see a turtle. I tried to snap a picture of it, but when I got closer it pushed itself off of the creek bank and into the water.
The coolest thing I saw this week was Naoshima island and the islands that surround it. A little off the coast of Okayama, Japan, there are several small islands. Among those islands is Naoshima. The islands are picturesque, standing in no order whatsoever, with a short beach with a lot of vegetation growing to a small mountain peak. The rolling clouds above create a beautiful scene, and as much as I try, I can't really explain it well.
