I was also able to make more friends and pretend I was a princess walking through my home.
Class was not in session this week, which meant I had to be creative with what I read. I could read online articles, street signs and new books I had bought. The main thing I read this week was maps. I read maps of the area where I live, Kensington. I also had to read larger maps of London. The hardest map to read was the map that showed where all the Tube stations were. There are different tracks for different places. Sometimes they overlap, and it can be confusing to figure out which way to go. Over the course of the week I started to get the hang of the Tube, but I am going to need a lot more practice before I am a master Tube rider.
This week I played a few card games with friends. We played spoons and UNO. I lost all the games we played, but it was still fun because I was able to cheer on my friends. I play these back home, so they weren't hard to learn. I made friends that are from South Korea, Australia, England, New Jersey, Ohio and Texas. I hope they teach me some of the games that originate from the places they are from.
Other news from this week includes my family. I have a large family, including two cats, named Lucy and Bones. I have never been away from them for more than a week. I am starting to miss my twin sister, who is my best friend. Thankfully, with technology, I am able to video chat her. I do not have WIFI all the time so I can't always talk to my family. I try not to be sad by having fun with my new friends.
