It has generally been sunny but cold. Since my town is at the bottom of a valley, we do not get many hours of sunlight, which makes the temperature feel even colder.
Given the winter temperatures, I did not see many animals beyond birds this week. The bird I see most commonly has been the Eurasian Magpie, a bird with primarily black and white feathers.
Though winter only officially started a couple weeks ago, there is already quite a lot of snow in the mountains! Seeing the chalets (Alpine houses) and pine trees covered with almost a foot of snow felt like experiencing a movie scene.
