The farthest I traveled this week was to Lauterbrunnen, a town near the middle of Switzerland. It was about 2.5 hours by train.
The farthest I have traveled on this journey so far has been to Naples, Italy during winter break. It is about 1,000km and a 9 hour train ride from my town in Switzerland! This is equivalent to the distance between Providence, Rhode Island and Cleveland, Ohio. In Naples, I saw Mt. Vesuvius and visited Pompeii. It was really cool to see in person the sites I learned about in middle school!
I primarily get around town by walking or by cycling. To get between towns, I take the train. Overall, public transportation is very accessible and reliable in Switzerland.
Lauterbrunnen and its surrounding villages were the most interesting places I visited this week. The towns are surrounded by mountains and currently covered in snow!
