In other words, $1.00 is worth ₹72 rupees. Just like in the U.S., money comes in coins and paper bills. Indian paper money is brightly colored. Each type of bill is a different color.
A bottle of water costs between ₹10 – ₹20 rupees in Bangalore. That’s less than $0.50 cents! Most food and drinks are much cheaper in India than in the U.S.
