This week featured a special visitor from the United States. I was able to show her both the quaint village I live in on the Island of Usedom as well as the bustling cultural capital of Berlin.

While Christmas in Germany and the United States are not dissimilar, the Germans do have some unique dinner dishes and traditions that are featured around the table each year.

This week I was invited on a road trip to Grainau. We made several stops to break up the driving. Most prominently, we spent a full day exploring Eisenach, a more centrally located German town.
