She speaks Spanish, French, Valenciano, and a little Italian. In Spain, to greet someone or say hello, she uses "Hola que tal?", "Buenas", "Buenos dias" and "Ey, que pasa?" These translate in English as, "Hi, how are you?", "Good afternoon", "Good morning" and "Hey, what's up?" When saying hello in Valenciano, you say "Bon dia". Valenciano is a dialect of Spanish particular to the region of Valencia. It is similar to Spanish, but it uses more stems that are taken from the French language.
When she was 7 years old, she had many cats that lived in her backyard of her father's storage building. She also had turtles and parakeets while growing up. Since Anna has been living on her own, she has not had any pets. She likes animals, but they are a lot of work!
She has traveled to Paris, London, Rome, Brussels and throughout much of Spain. Her favorite destination was Brussels because it was like a fairytale and absolutely beautiful. She is content now with her travels, but would travel to locations in Europe within two hours of travel time away such as Amsterdam, Prague, Vienna or Holland.
She started work at a company that produces light fixtures as a receptionist, then an administrator, and she finally became the secretary to the CEO. She retired once she was 61 and has been hosting students from the United States every college term as her main form of income since that time.
