Ever since the flowers started to bud in Asturias, I have been in awe with the beautiful plants here. One day, I was walking through the town where one of my schools is located, and I saw a really cool plant. My co-teacher explained to me that this plant was called the mimosa, and it is one of her favorite plants that exists here in Asturias. I began to research about the plant and found out some cool information!
This plant, to me, looks like a smaller, yellow cherry blossom. It has more greens and leaves than a cherry blossom, but the clusters of flowers reminded me of a cherry blossom.This plant has yellow flowers that are small and round. They look like balls of fur! The plant smells similar to a dandelion. It is a very large plant and has many flowers and leaves. There are long leaves that grow within a bunch of tiny leaves that stay in a line (as seen in the picture). It is a really big tree, and the branches grow in all directions!
I thought this plant was beautiful when I first saw it, and it made me feel happy. The bright yellow color always makes me feel cheerful. Sometimes I love to just sit outside and look at the beautiful nature that surrounds me. I also felt really calm. Being outside in nature helps relieve me of all of my stress and worries.
