My time in Prague this past weekend felt like a whirlwind in the best way. Although I have been to the city multiple times before, because both of my parents are from the Czech Republic, I never say no to an opportunity to go again. I went with twelve of my closest friends from school in London. It still amazes me how quickly we have become such a tight group. Traveling together already feels natural , for which I am so grateful.

We left early Thursday morning, with almost no sleep, so the first mission after arriving was finding food and some caffeine for everyone. We found a small café near the center and got breakfast to recharge for the long day ahead. After eating, we split up. Lily, Meli and Terrace headed an hour outside the city to visit family while I took everyone else exploring and served as their tour guide.

Our first stop was Strelecky Island, a quiet stretch of greenery in the middle of the river with perfect views of the bridges. It is famous for its nutrias, which many people, including me, call water rats. There were so many of them running around fighting over food and getting chased by ducks. It was a funny and unexpected way to start the trip.

After that, we began climbing the long hill toward Petrin Tower.
