Czech This Out!

The next morning, all thirteen of us were finally together, so we decided to hike up the other major hill to Prague Castle and St. Vitus Cathedral. Even though I have seen them many times, the architecture never fails to inspire me. The stained glass and tall gothic arches are spectacular, and the views over the city are just as good every time. I'll never forget this special experience with so many family and friends, as it is uncommon to be able to organize this kind of outing for so many people.  By the end of the day, we were exhausted from the climb and the long morning, so we went back and took a long nap.

By night, we rallied again and headed to Duplex, which is one of the best-known clubs in the city. The music was loud and the energy pulled all of us in right away. We danced for hours, stayed until around four in the morning, grabbed kebabs (shaved meat sandwiches) on the way home and finally crashed.

Saturday was our last full day, so we tried to enjoy the city without rushing. We went to the Beer Museum because many in the group loved trying the different Czech beers. After that we wandered across Prague and stopped by small landmarks such as the Lennon Wall, the Charles Bridge, the rotating Kafka head and the narrow alley with the traffic light. It felt nice to just walk without a plan and enjoy the day together.

By the evening we were worn out, so we hung out in the apartment and relaxed. When midnight hit ,we celebrated a special moment because it was the twins’ birthday, and it felt nice to end the trip with something that made everyone smile. After that, at 2:00 a.m., we got ready to leave for the airport.
