Interview with a local student!

Introduction:

I am pleased to introduce one of my students: Daniel! He is from Sogamoso and is a business administration student at the university. He is a keen English learner and loves to learn new things constantly! He shares a snippet of his interesting life and his perspectives on daily life in Colombia.

What do you eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner?:

I usually have eggs, fruit, bread, coffee, and sometimes vegetables for breakfast. I also enjoy drinking hot chocolate or aguapanela with lemon juice. Aguapanela is a traditional Colombian tea with hot water and unrefined whole cane sugar. It's very good!

Lunch is my biggest meal of the day, so I have chicken and rice with fruit juice and sometimes a salad. Depending on the day, I also eat red meat, spaghetti, or fish. I try to have a nice variety of foods!

Lastly, for dinner, I only eat something light or leftovers from lunch—calentado, as we say here in Colombia!

What is your house like?:

My house is fairly large and cozy with three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a garage, and a patio where we can hang our clothes for laundry. I live alone with my dad, so there is plenty of space for both of us.
