The weather this week wasn't terrible, but you can definitely feel the temperature dropping at night. A friend told me that in Toronto, there are three types of weather: good, bad and the three weeks in October where it's right in between. It rained dramatically earlier this week, but the city drainage system and the permeability of the soil make for few puddles. I was super impressed, actually, because in Southern California, two hours of light rain would leave intersections and front lawns flooded.
Trinity Bellwoods, a park near my house, is filled with Eastern Grey Squirrels. While their name might suggest a grayish color, most of these squirrels boast a black fur coat. Since Toronto is quite urban, I don't see that many animals on a day-to-day basis.
