Travel News

How far did I travel this week?:

From Bhaktapur, I took the Nepali version of the Uber app, Indrive, to the airport in Kathmandu. From there, I took a 40-minute plane ride and crossed 250 miles to reach Biratnagar, a city bordering India. It takes about a 30-minute car ride to then reach the city Itahari, where I stayed.

How far have I traveled on this journey so far?:

Most of my time in Nepal has been spent in Bhaktapur! Sometimes, I will visit friends or go for work into the capital city Kathmandu, which is about a 30 - 40 minute drive from Bhaktapur.

How did I get around this week?:

I traveled by car and plane mostly! A couple times I also took a rikshaw, which is a small, three-wheeled, open air vehicle to get around Itahari.

What was the most interesting place I visited this week?:

I visited the hillside village Bhedetar. It was my favorite place to visit this week!

Other Travel News from this week:

I had a great trip exploring a different region of Nepal. Hopefully I will be able to travel to other regions and do some hiking soon too!
