I traveled to South Korea towards the end of August. Much like the weather in New York, this time of year is the end of summer in Korea. My first couple of days here were very hot and humid, with the highest temperature being in the 90s.
This week I saw a squirrel on campus. Squirrels in Korea a lot browner, unlike the grayish ones I'm used to seeing in the U.S. Our campus also has a lot of cats and kittens roaming around. Students frequently stop to pet them.
The coolest thing I saw in nature this week was Koi fish. My study abroad group and I visited a mall outside of Seoul which had the nicest ponds. Everyone circled around the pond to watch the fish swim.
