Did you know that the flag of the Community of Madrid has 7 stars, which is the same amount of main stars in the Ursa Major constellation? This is the reason they use a bear to represent the city of Madrid.
While I have yet to re-read my favorite book "The Sun Also Rises" by Ernest Hemingway, this week I read the last few pages of the book. To my surprise, the last chapter made a reference to the oldest restaurant in the world, El Botin (located in Madrid), and a reference to the largest street in Madrid, Gran Via. Both of which I have been to and made reading those pages very exciting to me!
This week I taught my friends how to play Spanish cards. They absolutely loved it, and we usually play with three people or more because it becomes more strategic.
While I came to Madrid to experience a new culture, this week all of the American students are getting together to celebrate an important American tradition: the Super Bowl. Did you watch the game?
