Soccer, or football as it's called here (as compared to American football in the U.S.) is a big deal in England, and I can't wait to share that experience with you.

Yorkshire is an old Viking town, and many of the streets are still called by the Viking names. Streets are called gates, because the Viking word for "street" was gata, meaning "gate".  Actual gates are called bars, because the Vikings saw them as barriers.
