The rainy season is about to start! The weather is getting warmer and in the early mornings, we have storm clouds rolling into town from the mountains on the horizon. It gets really hot and humid before a downpour, but after the rain settles the air is cool and comfortable.
I see a cool breed of dog everywhere. This breed of dog has no official name in Vietnamese, so they are just called "dog." I see a lot of long-legged chickens walking around. I see water buffalo strutting through town from the rice fields.
The coolest thing I have seen in nature this week was the beautiful mountains with rice fields etched into their grooves. So breathtaking!
June is Lychee season and its almost over! Lychee is a very popular fruit grown in the province where I live. It has a rough red outside that can be peeled with your hands. On the inside is a sweet jelly surrounding a seed. They are so good; I can easily eat 20!
