Empanadas are very connected to the local environment here in Buenos Aires. You will always find an empanada shop on nearly every block here. Whenever I walk to the gym, to school or back home, I always pass by local empanada restaurants without fail. It is like the top local "street" food here. Plenty of restaurants serve empanadas as well, so you won't find a shortage of empanada spots here in Buenos Aires.
