After spending a week in Korea, I had to pack my bags and book a flght. Even though I only had a short period of time in Korea, I still enjoyed my time there with other exchange students and my distant family. This switch was very unexpected, but I still remained hopeful and confident about my decision to go on to Wellington, New Zealand. I feel happy and grateful that I was given an alternative option and program.
As soon as I arrived in Wellington, I knew I made the right decision. New Zealand is a special country with astounding natural beauty. Just like everyone reading from home, I am in self-isolation currently and am doing online learning. A typical day for me includes waking up, cooking breakfast, finishing some work, eating dinner and exercising. Then, from time to time, I call my friends and family back home, and we tell each other about our days. I try to stay active, and I still love going on hikes and walks around the neighborhood— but at a distance, of course! I am more than excited to be sharing my Journey and experience with you all!
