My daily life here in Korea is so different to my life in the United States. However, home is never far from my throughts while living overseas, and I thought it would be a neat comparison to write about both of my "lives" side-by-side in this piece!
My full name is Ayani Altamirano
In the United States, I live in Central Florida. I am originally from Polk County, then after graduating from high school I moved to Orlando for college. In Orlando I've lived both in school dorms and in apartments. Here in Korea, I've stayed in an International Students dorm in Seoul. We have our own beds and desk space, but all the beds are in one room. There's a laundry room and kitchen that we share on each floor.
Back home I have my two parents and three younger brothers. All my brothers are teenagers (18,17,15). We all have different and distinct interests such as music, movies, fitness and science.
In the United States, I get around by car. Here, in Seoul I only walk and use the subway.
