With the seasons being distinct it's simpler to be able to plan and prepare for whatever the weather. Korea also has many vital natural resources such as forests, fertile lands and rivers. The bodies of water are especially important because they are able to provide food through irrigation and transportation.
Air pollution is a big problem, especially in big city areas like Seoul. There are also natural disasters from time to time, such as earthquakes, which I am unfamiliar with, since we do not have them in Florida.
People wear masks for the air pollution. It's very common for everyone in public to be wearing a mask.
For the natural disasters, there are resources to help people and places for them to go when bad things happen. There are also alerts that go out to the community (via phone or email) in the evnt of a natural disaster.
As for infrastructure, many things, such as roads and housing developments, are built on the hills showing how the landscape has become an important part of the culture, here, too.
