The weather this week was good for the most part. It is currently springtime here, so on most days it is anywhere from 72-85 degrees fahrenheit, which is typically good weather for the beach. It has been raining one or two days out of the week pretty consistently, but overall the weather here has been beautiful.
I saw a toucan and local monkeys on my campus. They are as common as squirells are for us in the United States. The monkeys I see are really shocking. The ones that live in the forest by my house are larger than the ones at school. I often see them on the roof of my house by the window. If the windows are left open they will come insde the house looking for food sometimes. The monkeys at my school are much smaller and aren't seen as much. However, if you leave your food unattended they might come take it.
I also saw a toucan at the botanical garden this week and it was really cool to see an animal that I've only seen depicted on tv or on a cereal box.
