Hello everyone! My name is Isabelle, and I am 23 years old. I just graduated from college this past June 2019. I went to college on the West Coast, in California. However, I am originally from Connecticut, far from California! Connecticut is on the East Coast, very close to where you are in New York. I really enjoy this part of the country because there are lots of things to do outside. In my town, there are many places to go hiking and to swim at the beach in the summer. In the winter, I always enjoyed the snow and having the chance to go sledding!
For fun, I enjoy doing sports. My favorites include swimming and running. I also enjoy travelling and meeting people. This is one of the reasons why I decided to pursue a Fulbright Fellowship for ten months to Paraguay, which is a country in Latin America. Paraguay is landlocked. This means that it is surrounded by other countries and is not near any ocean.
I have really enjoyed my time in Paraguay, so far. I arrived here at the end of October, 2019, and will stay until the end of August 2020. One of the reasons why I wanted to come to Paraguay is to practice my Spanish, which is the main language here. It has been really fun to meet new people and to improve my ability to talk in Spanish!
