Throughout my time here, I've been trying different foods from as many places as possible. I try not to visit the same restaurant more than once or twice, so I can truly explore all the foods on offer, here, in Paris. So far I've had French food, Italian food, Japanese food, Indian food, and Spanish food, and it's all been delicious! However, the best meal in France, in my opinion, has to be dessert!
One of the most popular sweet treats in France is the macaron, a meringue-based cookie sandwich with cream in the middle. These treats come in all flavors, such as chocolate and lemon, or even passionfruit and jasmine! Laduree and Pierre Herme are the two most popular stores from which to buy these desserts, but bakeries all over France sell macarons as well! I had two raspberry macarons, along with a raspberry sorbet.
I ate this treat on a very cold night, so the raspberry sorbet made me feel even colder! This experience was definitely worth it, though, because the sorbet tasted like a very sweet and delicious raspberry. The macarons were soft and had a tang that went well with the sorbet. Overall, I really enjoyed this dish!
