The weather was nice and warm; perfect beach weather. In the afternoon, it got windy, so we had to put on our sweaters. However, when it became night time it would get cold (brrr!).
I did not see any animals. However, my friend who went on a hike said he saw wild boars. There was also a sign saying there were jellyfish in the ocean. A lot of Japanese beaches seem to have jelly fish that can sting so be careful!
The coolest thing I saw was the Meoto-iwa rocks (a pair of sacred rocks) which have a shimenawa rope (a sacred rope usually made of rice straw or hemp) connecting the two rocks. The big rock is considered the husband and the small one is considered the wife. It is cool to see how nature can make geological features which we give meaning to or that mean something to us.
