All of my assignments have been very open-ended because I’m expected to know what I’m interested in, and therefore what I would like to do a presentation on (or write a paper about). This liberty is really nice because it ensures that I’m always working on something that I’m interested in. Sometimes the open-ended assignments can feel really overwhelming when I can’t decide on a topic, but I feel like this semester I’ve learned how to hone in on the things I’m actually excited about.
