Sjáumst! Until Next Time!

Although we're saying goodbye, I'll still be here in Ísafjörður, learning about my new home. Ísafjörður changes a lot with the seasons, and I feel like I'm experiencing a new place as it goes through summer, fall, and now winter. When I first arrived in August, I spent my free time picking wild blueberries and crowberries on the mountainside, and now in January, I walk past those same mountains and they have giant icicles on them. Things change, but they can become something new you like. Moving to a new place can be scary because it's different, but it can be exciting at the same time, too. It's okay to feel both scared and excited about moving, but I hope sharing my journey in Iceland with you has shown you how fun it can be living somewhere new if you explore it.

Thank you for your questions and curiosity, and it was nice to meet you all! Enjoy the sunshine in Hawaiʻi for me. Sjáumst (syaumst)! See you later!
